When I originally heard that someone had the balls to mix AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" Vs. Ray Parker Jr's "Ghostbusters" I thought to myself "Oh my god, this should be horrible." I was pleasantly surprised that it works not too badly.

Blowing The Dust Off The Cover
It's alot like throwing something in a box and then later coming across it and thinking to yourself "Hey, I remember putting things in this box." and then opening it reminiscing about the things with it. (Most often covered with dust for neglect).
Not that I had a heck of a lot of things in this place that I would need or want to "reflect" on.
I came here again none the less. Take that as you will.

Coming Out of the Woodwork

Well it's been a long time since I updated the Blogspot version of my blogs. I see that in 11 Days the Online Blogger Tournament will be happening. I'm contemplating entering this. I am not sure if I'll be able to make it because of work commitments BUT I'm going to start updating my Poker Adventures.
As some of you may know I'm a regular player at Absolute Poker and play here and there at other sites. I've played on at off PokerStars but due to the fact I've never had real money on their site my playing time has been limited. I did get a note that Negreanu has imalgamated "Full Contact" with PokerStars a little while ago. On my latest visit to PokerStars I discovered they seem to have a lot of Freerolls and Events for Canadians. Which means I'll give PokerStars some of my Online Poker Time.
Anyway, I'm rambling. I'll start updating again and if I can manage to keep up the regular posting for the next 10 days I'll apply to be in the Tournament. Hopefully, that'll be enough to satisfy the PokerGods. (tm)

I suspect I would be worth a bit more if I hadn't had to answer the question about working with bad chemicals (IE Second Hand Smoke) I'd be worth a bit more!

Well, Well, Well....
I was on Absolute Poker today and I spied a $5 Limit Hold'em Multi Table Tourney with about 8 minutes to start and only 12 players in it. I kept my eye on it until it was about one minute before starting and jumped in the fray with 19 players in. There were 22 by the time it started. So, 3 table tourney and Top 3 finishers got paid. This tourney had Unlimited Re-Buys until the first break and 2 available add-ons during the first break.
I wasn't going to bother with the rebuys until I couldn't catch any cards. Down to my last 10 chips I decided to rebuy. On the IMMEDIATE next hand, after my rebuy, I hit a full house and doubled up. By the break I was in the middle of the pack and noticing some people were doing an add on I decided that would be wise as well.
So I had invested $15 and then my cards got good. I managed to play my way onto the final table. Tightened up my game a lot for the final 5 players. When it got down to 4 I was fortunate to hit a set against the #4 person in chips and sent them packing. I'd made the money. Although I was almost half the 1st and 2nd place chip stacks. Continued tight play and I managed to last all the way to 2nd place.

$55 is the most money I've won in one tourney. I'm stoked.

Audioblogs & Podcasts...
Can you see the difference? I can't see the difference.
When exactly did this little form of communication change names. I think it's amusing that this fad has garnered the name "Podcast" since it infers you NEED an Ipod in which to listen to it and really all you need is an MP3 Players. But I guess "MP3Cast" isn't quite as CATCHY.

Poker Addict Update
I just thought I'd update this cobweb-ridden space with some poker playing progress from my corner.
I still have managed to not invest any of my own money but I haven't been doing very well at my main hang out ABSOLUTE POKER of late.
Poker Bankrolls
Absolute Poker - $69.95
Panther Poker - $15.25
Poker Pages - $2.40
I've basically lost all the money I had on Superior Poker in my tailspin I hit a month ago so I haven't listed that since it's less than $0.25.
The money on Poker Pages although small is the result of a recent 3rd place finish in one of their $30 Freerolls. I have approximately 600+ points on their system which could be transfered into $6 of real money. Which would give me a grand total of $8 on their system. Those points come from a 2006 WSOP Round One Warm Up Tourney I placed 1st in. I've lost over 100 points just getting used to the players on their site who play pretty loosely with their points.
I've been slowly recovering from losing over $15 on Absolute and have been spending most of my time playing Sit & Go's for Points on Poker Pages re-tuning my game so I play more patiently when I play on Absolute for money. So far, it's translated pretty well and adjusting my game style has led to losing points rather than potential money. My goal on Absolute is to eventually crack $100. This goal has become more long term since I have limited my play there.
Panther Poker, is a roller coaster ride. I was peaked on their system at $35 and have taken steady beating on their ring tables to bring me down to $15. I really miss the Freerolls for money since they joined the same network as Poker Room.

When Luck Just Isn't On Your Side
I've been on a bit of a massive slide on Absolute.
I peaked at $99 and have pretty much gone on a steady slide down hill. I'm under $70 as I type this right now. I just got knocked out of a $1.00+$0.15 Sit and Go by the following I can't tell you how incredibly bad this beat was.

It can happen to you!
I quite enjoy playing 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. I find the split pot allows me to win a few more hands and over time I always seem to take a little more than I lose. Which when you're talking about gambling is a good thing.
I've been doing incredibly well lately in general at Absolute Poker. I've taken my account all the way to $70! This from a few weeks ago when I was fading and under $10! I've had a number of final table apperances in their $50 Freerolls. As well as winning a .25 cent Hold'em Multi Table Tourney for $13.53!
But it has been without it's moments I can't believe.

Where did I go wrong?
I've had a really good week of playing poker. I've had 4 final table appearances in Multi Table Tourney's on ABSOLUTE POKER this week. Of course, These were freerolls that only netted me $5 for each finish (except the last one which was a $2 WSOP Qualifer that I finished in 7th and only the Top 4 places paid out). The Sad Part is when you work out the money against the time I made less than a dollar an hour because these tourneys take over 5 hours. I enjoy them though and give me the practice for real tournaments.
Anyway, Everything is always bittersweet with me. This upcoming hand is from a Sit and Go I played recently. It's hard to think I played this hand wrong I just hit some bad luck. You can feel free to comment though.

Anyway, Everything is always bittersweet with me. This upcoming hand is from a Sit and Go I played recently. It's hard to think I played this hand wrong I just hit some bad luck. You can feel free to comment though.

English Genius
Although I only score 12 out of twenty on the Smiles Test.
I did very well on the The Common Confused Words Test
English Genius
You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 77% Expert!
You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!
This coming from a guy who slept through most english classes during high school.
