Well, Well, Well....

I was on Absolute Poker today and I spied a $5 Limit Hold'em Multi Table Tourney with about 8 minutes to start and only 12 players in it. I kept my eye on it until it was about one minute before starting and jumped in the fray with 19 players in. There were 22 by the time it started. So, 3 table tourney and Top 3 finishers got paid. This tourney had Unlimited Re-Buys until the first break and 2 available add-ons during the first break.

I wasn't going to bother with the rebuys until I couldn't catch any cards. Down to my last 10 chips I decided to rebuy. On the IMMEDIATE next hand, after my rebuy, I hit a full house and doubled up. By the break I was in the middle of the pack and noticing some people were doing an add on I decided that would be wise as well.

So I had invested $15 and then my cards got good. I managed to play my way onto the final table. Tightened up my game a lot for the final 5 players. When it got down to 4 I was fortunate to hit a set against the #4 person in chips and sent them packing. I'd made the money. Although I was almost half the 1st and 2nd place chip stacks. Continued tight play and I managed to last all the way to 2nd place.

$55 is the most money I've won in one tourney. I'm stoked.

Finally... Goal #2.. $100 Bucks

I did it finally...

I hit $100 on AP.

Just barely though but last time I had this much I only made it to $99

Audioblogs & Podcasts...

Can you see the difference? I can't see the difference.

When exactly did this little form of communication change names. I think it's amusing that this fad has garnered the name "Podcast" since it infers you NEED an Ipod in which to listen to it and really all you need is an MP3 Players. But I guess "MP3Cast" isn't quite as CATCHY.

Poker Addict Update

I just thought I'd update this cobweb-ridden space with some poker playing progress from my corner.

I still have managed to not invest any of my own money but I haven't been doing very well at my main hang out ABSOLUTE POKER of late.

Poker Bankrolls

Absolute Poker - $69.95
Panther Poker - $15.25
Poker Pages - $2.40

I've basically lost all the money I had on Superior Poker in my tailspin I hit a month ago so I haven't listed that since it's less than $0.25.

The money on Poker Pages although small is the result of a recent 3rd place finish in one of their $30 Freerolls. I have approximately 600+ points on their system which could be transfered into $6 of real money. Which would give me a grand total of $8 on their system. Those points come from a 2006 WSOP Round One Warm Up Tourney I placed 1st in. I've lost over 100 points just getting used to the players on their site who play pretty loosely with their points.

I've been slowly recovering from losing over $15 on Absolute and have been spending most of my time playing Sit & Go's for Points on Poker Pages re-tuning my game so I play more patiently when I play on Absolute for money. So far, it's translated pretty well and adjusting my game style has led to losing points rather than potential money. My goal on Absolute is to eventually crack $100. This goal has become more long term since I have limited my play there.

Panther Poker, is a roller coaster ride. I was peaked on their system at $35 and have taken steady beating on their ring tables to bring me down to $15. I really miss the Freerolls for money since they joined the same network as Poker Room.

When Luck Just Isn't On Your Side

I've been on a bit of a massive slide on Absolute.

I peaked at $99 and have pretty much gone on a steady slide down hill. I'm under $70 as I type this right now. I just got knocked out of a $1.00+$0.15 Sit and Go by the following I can't tell you how incredibly bad this beat was.

It can happen to you!

I quite enjoy playing 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. I find the split pot allows me to win a few more hands and over time I always seem to take a little more than I lose. Which when you're talking about gambling is a good thing.

I've been doing incredibly well lately in general at Absolute Poker. I've taken my account all the way to $70! This from a few weeks ago when I was fading and under $10! I've had a number of final table apperances in their $50 Freerolls. As well as winning a .25 cent Hold'em Multi Table Tourney for $13.53!

But it has been without it's moments I can't believe.

Where did I go wrong?

I've had a really good week of playing poker. I've had 4 final table appearances in Multi Table Tourney's on ABSOLUTE POKER this week. Of course, These were freerolls that only netted me $5 for each finish (except the last one which was a $2 WSOP Qualifer that I finished in 7th and only the Top 4 places paid out). The Sad Part is when you work out the money against the time I made less than a dollar an hour because these tourneys take over 5 hours. I enjoy them though and give me the practice for real tournaments.

Anyway, Everything is always bittersweet with me. This upcoming hand is from a Sit and Go I played recently. It's hard to think I played this hand wrong I just hit some bad luck. You can feel free to comment though.

English Genius

Although I only score 12 out of twenty on the Smiles Test.

I did very well on the The Common Confused Words Test

English Genius
You scored 93% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 77% Expert!
You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go!

This coming from a guy who slept through most english classes during high school.

2. What were your three favourite bands? Genesis, Foreigner, and Peter Gaberiel.

3. What was your favourite outfit? I wore black and lots of it.

4. What was up with your hair? I had shoulder length hair (it was the fuckin' 80's ok?!) I don't know what I was thinking cause my hair is fine.

5. Who were your best friends? Ben, Paul, Dion, George (and a cast of others)

6. What did you do after school? I was online doing the BBS thing still in 1987.

7. Did you take the bus? Unfortunately, I thought Mass Transit was very efficient in 1987. How wrong I was.

9. Did you fight with your parents? I was teenager, you figure it out.

10. Who did you have a celebrity crush on? In '87, I think I was pretty hot for Ann Wilson (yeah, the dark haired one) from Heart. I would have died to kiss Stevie Nicks too in those days, too.

11. Did you smoke cigarettes? I'd quit two years previously.

12. Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker? What Locker? My locker got trashed so many times that it was a waste of time to have one.

13. Did you have a 'clique'? Uhm, No.

14. Did you have "The Max" like Zach, Kelly and Slater? My friend's used to do coffee at the Pantry. The Manager for some strange reason thought we were a good group of teens. [Shurg]

16. Who did you want to be just like? No one.

17. What did you want to be when you grew up? I had no idea or desire to be anything.

18. Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now? Then I figured that I'd have already been dead for 5 years.

What Will They Think of Next?

I'm still a little shocked about THIS article in the NY Times ([Free] Subscription Required).

I can understand how a girl who forelorn in the throughs of lust/love and enjoys wearing stuff her boyfriend has recently worn. [I know this cause I dated one like that and my sweatshirts used to go missing on a regular basis]. BUT, BUT, I implore you, WHAT GIRL with the majority of her facilities would want to smell a smell from HER panties that reminded her of her boyfriend?!

Furthermore, What about innocent bystanders? As Ms. Gigglypants walks through the office and we're all allowed to share in the "woodsy" smell that reminds her of her boyfriend thanks to movement of smell via the air.

I don't get it, really I don't.

Valentine's Day

I think it's quite fitting that this year for Valentine's Day it's most probable that I will be COMPLETELY SINGLE! I think for this very fact I might CELEBRATE Valentine's Day. All By Myself and I'll even have a Celebatory Drink (Perhaps some Champagne) to toast a day I can't fuck up in the slightest because I have no Valentine! Don't be sad for me. It's ok, I'm pleased as punch because I seem to be cursed when it comes to Valentine's Day and if I'm dating someone I most definitely going to forget or doing some grievious that makes the person hate me beyond hate.

Point in case, I once DUMPED SOMEONE on Valentine's Day! That's right, What a FREAKING Class Act I am! Hand me the Oscar!

But you have to read THIS because truely it's an awesome observation on Valentine's Day.

It Also proves once again there's someone else who's is a MUCH funnier read than I am. Which would explain why I only have TWO readers!

Template Change

You might have noticed, my dear two readers, that I've changed my template. I finally got tired of the dots although I always felt they had a bingo dabber (dauber) feel to them. I'm moving on to something else.

It's a work in process for sure. I'm not sure I like it entirely yet. I'll have to tweak over the next few days. I noticed I blew away all my old Blogger comments with the comments this template uses. Opps.

I definitely have to fix the sidebar. I gotta have the picture of the mascot "Super Bingoguy"

I wonder if you know why I picked a template with an Eye.

Do The Bingo Shuffle...

One of my internet girlfriends did one of those meme's where you put your winamp or itunes or whatever have you on shuffle and see what ten songs come up. I did this about a month ago but I have lots of music. Insanely so, that it's always worth doing.

So here goes... I've had some really good ones in the past... I am due for an embarassing one.

1. Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes.
2. David Bowie - The Mysteries
3. Catastrophic - Enemy
4. Lawerence Gowan - Dancing On My Own Ground
5. Deep Purple - Hungry Daze
6. David Sylvian - Maria
7. Loverboy - It's Your Life
8. Frank Sinatra - Three Coins In The Fountain
9. Petra - King's Ransom
10. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - Who's That Creepin?

Wow, I didn't disappoint. There's just a little bit of everything that's in my collection. I'd make excuses for why I have some of those tracks but you either know why or you don't care.

What's My Age Again?

This is probably more true than I wish to admit.
